If you are anything like me, it’s difficult to believe we are already in the eight month of 2017. I can think of a few commitments that I made this year that should have been completed by now! Yet I am far behind! And only 5 months left to complete them L.  I will continue to believe “all things are possible…”! What about you?

If you find at times you are unable or unwilling to keep your commitments to yourself or others, this month’s podcast should be very helpful because we will focus on the subject of DILIGENCE.

You will also notice that this month’s podcast is a bit longer than usual because of the amount of examples and Scriptures that I included to get the point across. I genuinely believe that if you get a handle on this one virtue, it will transform every area of your life.

Whether you know the meaning of the word or not, I promise you, after understanding the root meaning for this word, from its Latin, Greek and Hebrew origins, your understanding will be expanded. It is my hope and prayer that everyone that is exposed to this teaching will have a greater appreciation for all the commands to be diligent in the Scriptures. I have listed just a few for your convenience:

Pro_4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Rom_12:8  or he who exhorts, in the encouragement; or he who shares, in simplicity; or he who takes the lead, in diligence; or he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness.

Rom_12:11 as to diligence, not slothful, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

2Pe_1:5 but also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling out your faith with virtue, and with virtue, knowledge.

2Pe_1:10 Therefore, brothers, rather be diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things, you shall never fall.

2Pe_1:15 And I will also be diligent to cause you to always have memory of these things after my departure.

2Pe_3:14 Therefore, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found by Him in peace.

If you are a regular follower of this podcast, you know that last month our topic was “How to conquer slothfulness.”  I took time to make the case that laziness often keeps us from doing or accomplishing things we set out to do.  Conquering the vice of slothfulness is step #1 in achieving success! After eliminating this vice, you need to add the opposite virtue. That virtue is DILIGENCE.  Take a few minutes to listen to this month’s podcast, with an open Bible. It is more like a teaching than a book review. You will find much meat and practical instruction to assist you in your growth in Grace and daily living.
