This morning as I sit at my PC, I am unable to sleep. If all goes well, I have planned one of the most beautiful weekends for your birthday. I would love to share everything that is planned for later today. But then they wouldn’t be surprises :).
So maybe I will come back later and provide a basic outline of what our kids and I spent the past week putting together so you can have the best birthday since our 25 years of marriage.
I just took the time to read the HAPPY BIRTHDAY thoughts I wrote for your birthday in 2018 and thought, what can I say or do, that will continue to reinforce my love and appreciation for the woman of my dreams.
Outside of demonstrating Christ love for and to you, through my words, thoughts, and behavior, I can think of nothing greater that I can do, than to pray for your continual blessing, healing and strength. That God will continue to use you for His Glory!
So, for your 48th birthday, I am taking the time to express my words in prayer, for the blessing of the Lord to continue to make you rich. You are a true and strong woman of God. I have no greater joy than to know, that you will continue to grow in the Grace and knowledge of our Lord!
BIRTHDAY PRAYER 2019
“Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Maker of Heaven and Earth. Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer of mankind, I come to you this morning in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I praise you because you are the Holy One of Israel. You are the Provider of my daily bread. The Forgiver of my sins. The giver of my Wisdom. The distributor of Grace, Mercy and loving kindness. Sometimes as I think of all you have done for me, I don’t know how to express in words, my thankfulness. So, I stop this morning to say, thank you Lord for saving my soul. Thank you Lord for making me whole. Thank you Lord, for giving to me, thy great salvation, so rich and free!”
Lord Jesus, as I reflect on your Glory, Majesty, Wisdom and Power, I see all of my flaws. Your beauty and majesty leave’s me in awe of the beauty of your holiness. The greatness of your power and the brightness of your glory. This morning, I am reminded that you are perfect in wisdom and holiness. That you are full of Grace and Truth, and though you were God in flesh, you took on human corrupted flesh, so that I could be redeemed. So that I could be purchased from the power of the sin and death that ruled over my life and that sentenced me to eternal damnation. I pray that you would give me the desire, resolve, and discipline to love you more than life itself. To lay down my life for my Deborah, our children, our loved ones, and even my enemies. I want to be more like you each day LORD.
Though I am aware of my failures, weaknesses and shortcomings, I am grateful that your precious blood cleanses me from every sin and stain, as I repent, confess, and bring my sins, iniquities and transgressions to you. What a good and faithful High Priest you are. So, with the understanding that there is forgiveness with you so that you would be feared, I humble myself before you and thank you for the privilege to bring my requests into your presences. And for the faith to believe that you always hear me, because I do the things that please you.
This morning as Deborah sleeps in your presence, I want to begin by thanking you for creating, molding, and making a woman after your own heart. One that you knew would be perfect for me. A woman that would fill in all the gaps of my life. A true help-meet.
So, as I begin, Holy Spirit I call upon you to give me the words and the power to plead on behalf of the woman that you brought into my life August 1992.
Father, I thank you for Deborah. Thank you for the child like faith you have given her to love and worship you, the only wise and living God. You have called her to yourself and given her the desire to lay down her life for her family. You have given her a love for your Word, a love for people, and a desire to see your name exalted in the earth.
My prayer for her this morning is that first of all, you would pour out your Spirit upon her. I pray that the Spirit of Wisdom, Might, Understanding, and the Fear of the Lord, as you reveal in Isaiah 11, will rest upon her. I pray that you will anoint her to continue to do your will. I pray that her life will continue to preach and speak to your world that you are a good God. That you are powerful. That you are holy. That you are a love your creation, and that you desire that all men repent and come to the know the truth – that there is only one name under heaven by which we can be saved. And that name is Jesus Christ. For you said in Mathew 1:21 that we should call His name Jesus, “for He shall save His people from their sins.” Thank you Lord for saving both Deborah and I.
Father I also pray that you will touch Deborah this morning physically from head to toe. You have trusted her for many years to fill up the sufferings of Christ by carrying the long burden of sickness. This responsibility has caused her to spend nights in the hospital, allowing her to share your Grace and Glory with others. This responsibility has been a blessing to me because it forced me to learn about sickness and disease, so I can do all that you reveal to glorify you in my body. Thank you Father for trusting your daughter to maintain her Joy in Christ. Though, she has had many nights and days of pain, many days and weeks of treatments,a few surgeries, and lots of discouraging news. Through it all, she has learned to trust in Jesus, and to depend upon His Word. For this, I thank you Lord. I know that she could not remain steadfast and unmovable if you did not give her the wisdom, grace, and strength to do that.
Thank you Lord for allowing her to give birth to 3 beautiful children. As I reflect on the birth of our first daughter, my heart is filled with Joy. Yet I have a greater appreciation for who and what Deborah is, as I remember the pain and suffering, she went through so Abigail, Joanna and Aaron could be born.
I pray that Deborah would hear regularly loving and tender words from me and her 5 children on a regular basis. I pray that no more days will pass without you confirming by our words or actions that she is a woman of virtue and invaluable to the Isaacs’ home and family.
Father, I pray that you will give Deborah the desires of her heart. You said in your word that if we delight ourselves in you, you would give us the desires of our heart. So, thank you for being Jehovah Jireh, her provider!
I pray, that you will also give her favor with all her enemies and those that are close to her. You said that “when a man’s ways please the Lord, you will MAKE even his enemies to be at peace with him.” What a wonderful blessing to know that you can change the hearts of men.
Father, I thank you for giving Deborah the peace of God that passes understanding. Thank you that the Joy of the Lord is her strength. Thank you that greater is He that is in her, than he that is in the world. Thank you that she is more than a conqueror THROUGH Him that loved her and gave himself for her. Thank you LORD that no weapon formed against her and our family can prosper. I thank you that she believes all these things and that she has the desire to share these truths with all that belong to you!
I pray that you will continue to bless everything that she puts her hands to. I pray that more and more she will reflect that character of the PROVERBS 31 woman. Give her the courage to hold on toand continue to believe your precious promises.
